Now that we have installed and prepared as per Part 1 of this manual, our Linux operating system. It is time to move to a part 2 and to install and configure the Linux VDA for registering with a site controller ...

Pt.2 and Linux configuration VDA

1.Configure OpenJDK

The Linux VDA has dependencies on OpenJDK 1.7.0. The runtime should be installed as part of the operating system installation, and can be confirmed by executing:

sudo yum info java-1.7.0-openjdk

Set the JAVA_HOME environment variable to add the following line in the global / etc / environment file:

- paste or type vi / etc / environment in the VM console window and press Enter

- Press Shift + a edit mode display

- Set the value as such

export JAVA_HOME = / usr / lib / jvm

- Press Esc

- Press Shift + z to leave twice and write changes to the configuration file

2.Install and PostgreSQL

The Linux VDA requires PostgreSQL 8.4 or later with database files are located in / var / lib / pgsql / data

2. Install the Linux VDA

Once a connection with your CentOS 6.6 VM remotely using xrdp. Connect to a Windows release and copy the Linux VDA rpm installation package

- Click on Places> Connect to Server

- Enter your Windows released details and click Connect:

2. Configure the Linux VDA

Run the following setup script from the console or terminal window and enter desired the values ​​appropriate for your environment:

Add firewall exceptions: y

IMPORTANT to restart: As per the availability RTW version of VDA (XenDesktopVDA-1.0.0.161-0), there are some additional configuration options that are listed at the top images not reflected. These include:
