That's right - XenServer v6.5 SP1 has been released, with improved graphics support with [1945002!] Intel GVT-d GPU for Windows [1945003-Pass-Through] nVIDIA GPU for Linux and Docker container runtime management !
Citrix Synergy pass-through 2015 is here in full swing in Orlando, Florida, and the XenServer product group eagerly looking forward event this year for numerous reasons
might it feel like just last week has demonstrated that Citrix XenServer v6.5 released. However, four months ago, this very significant version was released on the market and it has been receiving since alike some great praise from customers, partners and analysts. As a quick recap on its key features and improvements:
- New 64-bit control domain (Dom0), greater performance and scalability of addressable memory and PCI adapter provides
- nVIDIA vgpu scalability improvement, now at 96 vgpu sessions per host!
- A new in-memory read cache, helps desktop virtualization storage costs
- Workload Balancing (WLB) to reduce infrastructure monitoring and workload automation
- essentials network and storage performance improvements
v6.5 was an important release for many reasons; to be now not bound by the 64-bit control domain by limitations of 32-bit operating systems, it opens up new possibilities in scalability and performance. Dom0 is far more memory directly access than has previously been possible, the foundations put features such as to create the in-memory read cache, the type of integration have many customers on Citrix to leave innovate.
For greater performance and scalability, architects can use budgets more wisely and where it is really needed, potentially reducing the number of hosts by the number of workloads per host higher scaling. The in-memory read cache can reduce the need for expensive high-end arrays, further reduce the project deployment costs for customers. XenServer v6.5 SP1
as a downloadable hotfix for XenServer infrastructures SP1 contains a number of new key features:

- Intel GVT d GPU for Windows machines pass-through
- nVIDIA GPU for Linux machines pass-through
- Docker container support: run container in VMs and use XenCenter for lifecycle management operations
- New guest OS support & updates: Windows 10 template Kit (official to get support when Microsoft officially released the OS), Plus CoreOS
- XenCenter improvements: per-VM visibility in-memory read cache use
XenServer & graphics
