NetScaler 10.1 - the main NetScaler Version for Mobile, Cloud, Multi-location and visibility as the core was released this week with great momentum. Several download and queries within days shows the interest that is driven by the large number of features delivered in this release. In total, there are over 0 net new features that are driving momentum across all customers we have. There is something new and exciting for everyone that they belong to the company, Telco, Internet, ISP, Cloud, financial or any other segment. We made sure to add value to all the basic modules that we have while adding net new modules for this version.
It is difficult to bring out the value or touch to all the basic features we added in one even write -up. In this blog, we try to touch on areas that will be of interest to most of our customers. Then we follow this with specific blogs on these individual characteristics.

Simpler Multi-location with Traffic Domain
NetScaler was the leader in multi-location initiative for many years with our SDX platform. While SDX offers the best multi-tenant solution possible with absolute isolation, he worked at the ADC layer. Traffic Domain enables simple multi-tenancy within a single ADC where the focus is to separate routing and allow reuse of IP. traffic areas allow our customers to create a logical partition within a NetScaler appliance where several tenants coexist without any visibility on the other. traffic areas have visibility through Layer 7 features and modules so most application requirements can be satisfied in one area.
Mobile and Mobility
Mobile is the way business is done today and we realized it did two years ago and have worked on some of building blocks in our latest version with the support of TCP Westwood algorithm for mobile use. With 10.1, we have added support for Multipath TCP SPDY and that makes us the preferred choice for all types of mobile acceleration. Another aspect of mobility is where we enabled the deep integration of Citrix NetScaler with XenMobile solution. We added the simplified configuration wizard to enable the rapid deployment of NetScaler if XenMobile use.
Better connectivity and experience with Multipath TCP
Think Mobile and TCP and you suddenly start wondering how TCP monitor mobile devices networks so often. TCP failure causes bad experience of the end user of the service and cause significant latency. As mobile devices can be several ways to connect to resources today and there is no good way to use the roads effectively. This is where Multipath TCP focuses on and brings the best of multiple paths to the end user while reducing latency and a bad experience for the end user.
Faster delivery of content with SPDY
SPDY is a new protocol developed for the treatment of light HTTP. It aims to reduce the use of bandwidth and making it faster Internet communication. Most browsers support SPDY today, but the servers and applications in the data center runs on HTTP only and we need a gateway device that can transform messages. NetScaler SPDY proxy ensures that NetScaler can talk to clients and servers HTTP and SPDY and also transform messages. Most mobile browsers support SPDY and NetScaler can make when it sends HTTP responses from App servers, it sends the SPDY format that is lighter and faster in processing.
Visibility
We all understood that visibility is key in this big world of data and how to get end to end visibility is limited today's data centers. 10.1 NetScaler release is supported by NetScaler Insight Center is our forward visibility for different use cases. We focused on two key factors for now.

Web Insight is the core component that provides insight from end to end in what is going on across applications criticism in your data center. It concerns the performance information on the Web layer with the client and the server information as well and gives you complete visibility.

ICA is the native protocol for XenApp environments / XenDesktop and he owns so that there no available generic visibility solution. Many times in the virtual infrastructure customers complain about the slowness which could be really attributed due to the underlying network. While NetScaler becomes the front end for XenApp deployments / XenDesktop, we all ICA sessions through. IPv6 transition with NAT64 / DNS64
