With Citrix progressing rapidly on the front of mobility and Google Nexus series of devices creating a buzz I thought it was the right time to discuss various options, functionality and Citrix receiver for Android gives flexibility.
Many of you might be surprised to know the amount of flexibility Citrix Receiver for Android provides the user account creation aka user profile.
account creation option 1
Server URL / address The standard way to do this is to address.User provide server account can be created by providing the server address to follow, depending on server configurations in your organization:
- Citrix Access Gateway Enterprise Edition
- Citrix Web Interface
- Citrix store-front (part of the offer CloudGateway)
- Citrix AppController (part of the offer CloudGateway)
Covered Configurations load to above:
- with CloudGateway configuration, Access Gateway must be coupled with a StoreFront server CVPN fashion and account services address must be configured as shown here.
- with the old system with Web-server interface, the gateway-access must be ICAProxy mode with WI address configured.
- No special configuration is required if you hit the StoreFront or Web address directly interface. auto-sensing receptor will find the server type and proceed as necessary from there.
- For web-interface servers, if there are non-default locations that you want to connect, you must ensure the full URL of the site. For example, if you need to connect to the following website
/ citrix / pnagent_hr and provide the address field, as shown below
- Secure gateways are at end of life, but we expect v3.x of secure gateways should work, although they are not more tested by Citrix.

Provisioning file user account can also be created by imported Store Provisioning file. Administrator may provide storage provisioning file as an attachment in an e-mail or publish it by using a link on a Web page, which can be downloaded and automatically get imported into Citrix Receiver installed on your Android device . This file normally .cr as file extension.
File Import cr will take you to the search page credential. Provide credentials here and complete the account creation process
Note :. Some manufacturers of Android devices do not support unknown file types, such .cr in this case. Hence the only work around possible it is that .cr file is renamed by administrators as .xml, which is the kind of universal and generic file. '.xml Extension must always work on all devices, regardless of manufacturer.

Email discovery :. The simplest of all, user account can also be created by providing the email user. Just provide enterprise messaging in the address field, with documented following configurations on the server can obtain account created for you. option Manual .: This option in the menu at the top right drop-down is labeled as "Manual Setup".
