From buzzword for Business: A conversation on Operational Intelligence -

What is in your blind spot?

Over the last 15 years, we relied on solutions based on agents to provide measures and visibility in XenApp and XenDesktop related issues. However, in many cases, your environment XenApp / XenDesktop may not be the issue at all and visibility in other parts of published applications can still result in Citrix classic "get out of jail free" card. While heavy agents solutions have become very popular over the last 15 years, according to an agent to tell you when your system is having problems is like telling someone to shout for help if they begin to drown. Kinda hard to do if you are under water!

We also face the fact that the EdgeSight we all learned to love / hate will no longer be available after XenApp 6.5. In XenApp world where you are constantly prove the negative, you need a strategy to support your environment beyond what is happening with your specific servers and to start building your operational intelligence strategy.

In this session, Brandon Shell will lead a lively discussion of all these questions (and more!) With the pioneers, Jesse Rothstein, Jason Conger and Dana Gutride. Among other things, they will discuss:

  • Different methods of collecting information using latest
  • Citrix holders Tools
  • lightweight forwarders that Powershell lever with Syslog and passive network analysis

All this to provide operational intelligence that you can integrate the operationalization of data from a number of sources in a vision "Big Data "to establish unified statistics from a single console.

Does your APM and monitoring the company include more than half a dozen consoles and an equal number of proprietary data sets? How can you integrate them into a unified console? It is time to speak of operational intelligence and challenge the dominant paradigm is APM today. Join us at Citrix Synergy LA for this lively discussion Wednesday, May 22 at 14:00 - SYN503 Session: data everywhere and still no visibility: how to consolidate your Citrix data for a better view
