I would like to give a shout to the VRC project team Jeroen van de Kamp and Ruben Spruijt for the creation of a such a large survey VDI.
In 2013, the team released project VRC-entry with 'state of the VDI and SBC union your first project VRC community survey (download here). More than 1,000 people participated. The results of this independent and truly unique survey provided many new insights into the use of desktop virtualization worldwide.
This year they would like to repeat the survey to see how the industry has changed and take a look at the future of VDI and SBC in 2014. To do this, they need your help again ! Everyone who is involved in the construction or maintenance of SBC or VDI environments is invited to participate in this survey. Also, if you participated in the previous edition!
The questions in this survey are both functional and technical, ranging from "What are the most important design objectives set for this environment," to "what storage is used," "How are the VM configured ". Compared to the 2013 survey VRC, questions have been highly optimized and simplified with your comments. The survey in 2014 VRC will take 10 minutes of your time.
The success of the survey will be determined by the amount of responses, but also the quality of these responses. This led the team of the VRC project to the conclusion that they should stay away from giving away iPad's pricing or other draws for survey participants. Instead, they opted for the following strategy: only survey participants will receive an exclusive report from the list of all the results immediately after the survey closes
The survey will be closed March 14th it. year. (Two more weeks left !!!)
