The Microsoft Solutions team is pleased to announce the availability of our first service pack for Citrix XenApp 6.5 for connector Microsoft system Center 2012 Configuration Manager. This provides improvements for existing and new customers.
We published the connector in March and since then have been excited by the number of customers who have installed the connector to pull the party management centered on the user that the Center provides system and improve deployment, management and publishing applications on their XenApp servers
with the XenApp connector, administrators can :.
- Orchestrating the application deployment process on XenApp servers, farms, and working groups within the Configuration Manager console, both directly to the farms managed traditionally and as for streaming operations, when used in conjunction with Provisioning services
- Expanding the user-centric configuration Manager and based on application rules distribution capabilities to provide applications to users the most appropriate for the device they are using MSI, App-V, XenApp or
- Enable self-service user of XenApp applications both receiver and Application Center System catalog [hosted
- Ensuring high availability possibly leveraging the Power and Capacity Management Concentrator to graciously orchestrate the deployment of applications and software updates while minimizing downtime for users
Based on the feedback you gave us this service pack data includes the following improvements:
- improved setup wizard to help administrators better select a Manager configuration maintenance window during which all software is deployed on the XenApp server
- Enable backwards compatibility with future versions of the connector (more on that in an upcoming blog post!)
- update group policy console to support the newest feature of XenApp pack & connector
- fixed key bugs raised by customers
- Enable the upgrade in place of the XenApp connector 6.5 for XenApp 6.5 connector (SP1)

NOTE: .. this service pack replaces the previous download that is no longer available. Customers rated the connector 6.5 should upgrade to this version 6.5 SP1 as soon as possible. Customers who already have the 6.5 connector in the production are strongly encouraged to test and evaluate this service pack.
