I am very pleased to announce that XenDesktop technology preview is now available for download! Many of you have asked us about XenDesktop 7 support for the next Microsoft Windows 8.1 and Windows Server 2012 R2 OS'es. It is because of that we're providing this preview technology for customers to evaluate the upgrade to XenDesktop.
What can I evaluate this preview XenDesktop technology?
The short answer is ... it XenDesktop technology preview allows customers to evaluate XenDesktop 7 features and capabilities of Microsoft Windows 8.1 and Windows Server 2012R2. Specifically ,, you will be able to assess the following characteristics:
- Provide virtual desktops and applications from Windows 8.1 and Windows Server 2012R2
- Hyper-V 3 with local storage when. services using creative machine (MCS)
- Flash redirection with Windows 8.1, Windows 8, Windows Server 2012 R2 and 2012

to download the preview tech XenDesktop 7.1, simply go to: http://www.citrix.com/techpreview/xendesktop
you will be prompted to sign in with your account MyCitrix . As part of the download process, you will receive an evaluation license of XenDesktop, and documentation for use with the technology preview. As with any technology preview, you want to run in your non-production environment, and to note that there is no upgrade or migrate to and from this technology preview. You will need to be current on Subscription Advantage to download this preview technology.
Also on the download page will be a URL to the support page preview, where you can provide comments / feedback to Citrix.

when will this technology. overview become a product version supported?
