Following our December 2012 Technical Support webinar that covered Reduce time to resolution Automatic support with Citrix , there was a series of questions posed during the session that we did not answer. Q. Does the analysis of the automatic support include applciation issues with Citrix?
Support Auto aims issues of global XenApp rather than issues specific to individual applications. However, the consequences of the most common products (eg MS Office) if there are problems, we can detect known, there is no reason why we would not write a plugin to highlight them .
Q. What versions of each product are supported?
- XenDesktop 5.x
- XenServer 5.6 and later
- XenApp 6.x
- NetScaler 9.2 and versions later.
Q. Are there plans to add other aditional solutions, ex. Provisioning Services?
Automatic support was built on what customers have told us they need. Future development is expected in the same manner. If you have products that you want us to cover, please use the return link (taas.citrix.com/feedback) and let us know. The more comments on a particular item, the higher priority it will receive.
Q. Any plans for an article in the knowledge base based on data collected? Something like "top ten problems faced by the support of the automobile for the month-year"?
Great suggestion, we are looking into some ideas on how to highlight key issues for automatic support. We'll keep people posted on this as we progress.
Q. When is the timeline for XA6.5?
XA6.5 is already available on the automatic support
of Q. To check, it is free for XD / XA / NS / XS as a self service. Is there a limit to the use?
For individual use, the only limit is the 20Gb storage in your online account. However, if you reach this, just delete some data you online, and your service will continue to work. For shipments associated with service requests, there is no storage limit, but there is a current max upload size limit of 60Gb in a single download.
Q. Can you gather info Web Interface and best practices etc in this version or feature is it coming?
This will be coming in a future release.
Q. You also add plugins for StoreFront?
This will come in a future version.
Q. Can you change the default TEMP directory where the collections are stored on the local server with Citrix Scout?
Yes, look under the "collection parameters" for this option
Q. version CDF provides a comprehensive? He all suppliers? I heard early in the CDF trace has not listed all suppliers
Yes, there is a full trace, using all suppliers / default modules
