2014: Taking The Next Step In Enterprise Mobility -

It sometimes seems like a broken record: when enterprise mobility finally succeed! Following this industry since 1995, many things have changed, but so has remained the same. No doubt the monumental changes in the enterprise mobility took place. The adoption and use are no longer the domain of vertical markets such as delivery and service field. Driven first by BlackBerry, and iPhone and 3G / 4G services all types of businesses and users have directly adopted the enterprise wireless communications. At least as far as the wireless email. It just feels like there's something missing, and that mobility is until we are on top of our mobile computing on laptops.

The impact of enterprise mobility is there for sure, but it is difficult to quantify and explain. Even as more users replace their laptops with tablet-it's just not the feeling that we are still here. But where "it" is? And are we ever going to happen? I wrote some thoughts for CIOReview about it and what to expect in the next year, entitled "Multiple Device At its peak in business." Perhaps, in fact, we will never be there until mobile technologies replace completely the way we do our computing and communications today. what I do not think that happens to everyone. Or maybe it will just take some time as technology mobile become an integral part of enterprise computing and computer systems. it is more likely, but whatever happens, and the time it will take the (r) evolution started.

Happy 2014!

Phil Redman is Vice President of Mobile Solutions and Strategy at Citrix and often muses about the chaos miscelany mobile.
