You know the rest ...... .Having fun? Nothing like nursery rhymes technology! I'm pretty sure 50% of you reading this will end up singing the new version to your children.

It has been nearly two months since Cisco and Citrix announced the new partnership go-to-market. Padmasree Warrior, chief strategy officer of Cisco technology shares the officers vision Citrix Synergy 2012 - Barcelona (http://www.citrix.com/tv/#videos/6687) (http://www.youtube.com / watch? v = LnUM8DIcUM4) providing ( remember our friend above with the vision? ) new common approach for customers of all sizes to build cloud-ready infrastructure that enable mobile workstyles offer businesses and provide reliable service providers, safe, cost effective cloud services. That's a pretty big partnership in the making. I mean who would have thought Cisco, a giant in the networking space is about to embark on this so-called world Citrix?

Some competitors have minimized this partnership indicating the existence of a complete failure, but I completely disagree. You have to look all fields, this partnership touch and how it will evolve in the coming years.

Desktop Virtualization

Cisco VXI with Citrix XenDesktop solution intelligently integrates the most cost effective and scalable platform for desktop virtualization. Deployed on the UCS platform, which was built from the ground up to support virtual environments, the solution provides a user experience without compromise for all users in the enterprise, helps organizations to improve compliance with the positions centralized and secure work and related operations, and better supports the lifeblood of the company :. people

Cloud Networking

Cisco and Citrix intend to jointly integrate the distribution of Citrix NetScaler Application Controller (ADC) to coexist seamlessly with other Cisco network and security services, such as Cisco Wide Area Application services (WAAS) and Cisco Adaptive security Appliance (ASA). The companies also intend to integrate Cisco Nexus 1000V with Citrix XenServer to enable enterprise customers and service providers to build clouds based in part on the key open source technology. Cisco will continue to fully support existing customers of its (ACE) product line Application Control Engine and will recommend Citrix NetScaler as an alternative to customers who want to deploy a next-generation ADC. Cloud Orchestration

Cisco and Citrix intend to develop an integrated cloud solution for enterprise deployments and service provider based on the best-in-class corporate portfolio. This will include the Cisco Unified Computing System (UCS), Cisco Nexus Series switching, and Cisco Open Network Environment (ONE) components, and the main Citrix cloud orchestration solution - Citrix CloudPlatform, powered by Apache CloudStack. Once developed, this integrated solution will enable customers of the company and providers offer public clouds, private and highly efficient hybrid.

Mobile Workstyles

Cisco and Citrix intend to develop "mobile way of working and BYOD solutions" that give mobile users a unified way to securely access business applications, data, voice and collaboration services from any device, anywhere. The joint solution, when developed, will link Cisco collaboration technology, including tighter integration of the Cisco Jabber client, with mobile access to customer self-service Citrix Receiver and Citrix CloudGateway for managing the mobility of 'business. The joint solution will also include Citrix ShareFile for secure, "follow me data" cloud-based services through any combination of user devices. To enable optimization, monitored and managed rich-media experience for accessing applications and virtual Windows desktops from mobile devices, Citrix will incorporate Cisco MediaNet into Citrix XenDesktop and XenApp. to secure mobile workers, Cisco and Citrix will link Citrix Receiver, Citrix access Gateway and CloudGateway with the Cisco Secure access portfolio including Cisco AnyConnect, Cisco ASA, and Services Engine Identity Cisco (ISE).
