How to build a Low Budget-Machine Download: Build Pi -

It can be really annoying to have to manage your PC at home overnight to complete a lot of NZB downloads. Using the Raspberry Pi 2 (retail value: $ 35.00), you can build a small budget, low power Usenet download machine that works Raspbian and SABnzbd. In this multi-part series, you will learn how to successfully create an NZB downloader complete with queue management on the Web and a storage facility connected to the network for all your downloaded binary Usenet fully functional.

Why the Raspberry Pi Model B 2?

the cost of the Raspberry Pi 2 Model B, especially when compared to all the technical features it offers, can not be beat at $ 35 for the CPU. The Raspberry Pi Model B 2 is the second generation Raspberry Pi. Replacement of the original in February 2015, the Pi 2 delivers six times the processing speed of its predecessor with a Broadcom BCM2836 processor upgraded. The board also has an increased memory capacity of 1 GB of RAM. The Raspberry Pi is an open-source product designed to be supported by user forums on the Internet. As a starting point, you can visit their official site for your needs of the base operating system.

Raspberry Pi 2 Model B

  • head 40 pin GPIO and serial bus (compatible with Raspberry Pi January 26 pin head)
  • supply: + 5V @ 2A via the microUSB socket
  • Size: 86 x 56 x 20mm

what you need to build the Pi

once you have the Raspberry Pi 2 is great, but it might as well be a paper weight of $ 35 without the other components necessary to prepare for a serious download action. Remember that you will need an appropriate adapter to power the device and although the Pi 2 Model B has an Ethernet port, you might as well have the WiFi capability to save you another wired. You will also have USB storage need to store your data and USB input devices (keyboard and mouse) to configure the Pi on its initial startup. The Raspberry Pi 2 Model B has 4 USB 2.0 ports, but it is always good to have more than we recommend you take a powered USB hub in the mix as well. Finally, you'll need a good-sized SD card (4GB or more) to load and store the operating system Linux Raspbian your Pi will run. Here is our list of recommended components, you will need to build the machine Pi 2 download:

  • Raspberry Pi 2 Model B
  • Adapter microUSB (+5 volts @ 2 Amps)

    Raspberry-Pi-2-Starter-Kit

    Raspberry-Pi-2-Starter-Kit

  • USB WiFi Adapter (We recommend the Panda 300Mbps Wireless-N USB Adapter (PAU05))
  • USB mouse and keyboard
  • Powered USB hub to support additional devices (We recommend the D-Link DUB-H7)
  • external storage USB HDD (Two is better for data redundancy)
  • HDMI cable for video display on the initial boot
  • 8GB microSD card (We recommend 8GB, minimum 4GB)

If you are looking to save time and money, a kit can be ordered here which contains most of the elements necessary to start on the project. But if you are looking for a more personalized construction, a complete list of compatible hardware can be found here

A little on audio and video. For digital video to a standard computer monitor that lacks an HDMI port, a HDMI to DVI cable is required for video signal and 3.5mm stereo cable for sound (as you'll lose her in the HDMI DVI) conversion.

What is the next step in our series? Time to load the operating system, Raspbian

In the next episode of UsenetServer of How -to Build a download machine Low-budget , we guide you through the imagery of your microSD card with the latest Raspian operating system. Go to the second part: Configuring OS Raspbian

Are we Leaking Your IP address? Check for yourself

Are we Leaking Your IP address? Check for yourself -

Do you know you have a digital ID, called an IP address? Every day, millions of people are connected to the Internet. Each accessing at least hundreds of millions of pages on the web. All happen at the same time. If the Internet were a man, nothing like this can happen. A system providing at least billions of information to millions of people simultaneously. If the Internet was a human being, it would be impossible. However, we have never heard of. We have heard how the Internet are lacking. This leads to a simple question. How can it be possible? How the web provides information in exactly the right person without mistake?

ip address, vpn, asia, vpn asia, security, privacy, ip leak, port fails

IP address, your online identity card

The answer to this question is found on your device. Today, most devices can connect to the web. To help identify these devices, they come with an online ID. We call on the IP address. Despite its name, the IP address contains a lot of personal information. An IP address can indicate your location, type of device, its manufacturing data, which did, LAN card details, and much more. With this detailed information, hacker can break into your system using only your IP address.

VPN and IP address

Protecting your IP address is important in cyber security. It's like keeping the door in your device. The better you protect it, the safer you will be. For the exact same reason, people always seek the best protection of intellectual property. And the winner is VPN. A VPN can hide your IP address of origin and hide them from the threat of cyber. Unfortunately, all VPNs are secure. Unlike VPN.asia, some of them have security vulnerabilities. These defects may reveal your original IP address. In other words, while you surf the Web with VPN, there might be a chance that your IP address is not hidden. Therefore, everyone can understand and tackle. And, get ready for the worst. A criminal might exploit this flaw. While you enjoy browsing the web, someone might be spying you. Your information could have been lost.

The challenge here is, what can you do? Is there a way to stop it?

IP address leakage

In VPN.asia, we believe there is a solution for every challenge, including IP leakage. But before we get there, we'll learn more about it.

What IP Leak?

A simple example of a VPN user knows IP leakage.

ip address, ip leak, vpn, asia, vpn asia, security, privacy,

once you're connected, the VPN provider will offer you a list of available servers. After choosing one of these servers, the VPN will start to hide your IP address. As a result, your original IP will be hidden. The only person not supposed to see is the IP address of the VPN server. That's how it supposed to work.

But ....

Have you ever seen this message, even after the connection to the server?

"Sorry, this content is not available in your country,"

This means that there is something wrong with your VPN. This means that your VPN is down. The site still detect your original IP address. In other words, you are suffering from IP leakage.

real-life cases of leakage IP

Our first example happened last year. A serious security flaw has been discovered at the time. Any remote site can use this flaw to reveal true IP address of someone using Real Time Web Communication or WebRTC. Until now WebRTC is still one of the features built into most browsers. Even if you use a VPN, it will not be useful. Fortunately, today we can fix with some browser extensions.

Our next example has come to the end of 2015. Many VPN providers fall in Port fails. This incident suppliers with Port Forwarding attacked. In this case, at least thousands were reported as victims.

Are you affected?

Do not get more confidence, until you have evidence. Many people believe in their VPN too. Let me tell you something. Nothing is good if it was too much. This includes VPN. Even if your VPN provider is the best supplier that you can get, you should always check its performance. That's why we at VPN.asia, recommend checking our service. Are you affected by the IP leakage? Can you trust us to hide your IP address?

Let's not waste time. Here are some tips to check how we serve you

Note: .. Please make sure you are not connected to one of our server

  1. Check your real IP address to what is my ip address book or 2 IP location. Note the address. Close the tab.
  2. Now connect to your VPN.asia application. Connect to a server.
  3. Visit What is my IP address or IP 2 new location. Now, check your IP. If you have a different IP address, our service works very well. However, if nothing changes, then you get leakage of IP.
  4. To confirm, visit WebRTC test page. Take a look at the IP address listed on the page. Is this the same address that you obtained in step 3? If so, then there is nothing to fear.

Protect yourself

Fortunately, you have VPN Asia. Our service is totally secure IP leakage and port fails. But, you say this will do no good. So here's a tip you can use to prove our service.

Disable WebRTC

If you use Safari and IE, you are protected from this threat. Neither Safari or IE use WebRTC. However. If you use Edge, Firefox, Chrome and Opera, you should disable this extension.

webrtc, ip leak, ip address, vpn, asia, vpn asia, security, privacy

For users of Chrome and Opera

Grab and install ScriptSafe extension. Click to get this extension for Chrome and here to Opera.

For Firefox users

Disable WebRTC Grab and install add-on. You can enter the extension here. You can also disable the WebRTC using "about: config". In your address bar

Now that you have all the equipment, the stage is set. What you need to do is load your Pi with an operating system that lets you manage your automated Usenet download software SABnzbd. Your operating system of choice is a custom Debian Linux installation called OS Raspbian

How to install the OS Raspbian

  1. Download the disk image.

    OS Raspbian here.
  2. Insert the microSD card into the Raspberry Pi card reader / writer.
  3. Follow the instructions found here to copy the image Raspbian OS disk to the microSD card using the host operating platform of your computer (Macintosh, Windows, Linux).
  4. After the transfer of the disk image to the microSD card is complete, insert the microSD card into the microSD slot of Pi. After all cables and equipment are attached (keyboard, mouse and wireless adapter -Fi) for the Hub USB, HDMI cable to watch) and microUSB power adapter is connected to your Pi, you are ready to power up the unit for setup.

Raspbian OS configuration for the first time

When starting Raspberry Pi 2 for the first time, Raspbian automatically detect and load drivers for the Pi material.

Although there are many options that can be configured to Raspbian OS, this tutorial will only focus on what is required for downloading the project going.

1. Develop Filesystem - Select this option and then choose "Yes" to develop Raspbian Filesystem, which allows the use of all available space on the microSD card of Pi. This is recommended to give more space for the operating system package installation, etc., if you choose to install additional features on the road.

Telkom Indonesia said Netflix

Telkom Indonesia said Netflix - Arrogant

Telkom, Indonesia's largest telecommunications company, quite. There are a few months, the company has decided to block Netflix. It was a huge success on Netflix. The global campaign project was supposed to be a success. The company was only expected to accept defeat in China and Syria. The great firewall will not allow access to Netflix. While in Syria, the war is still raging. In other words, the company believes other countries would accept. Without exception. Well, this time they were wrong. Netflix is not available in Indonesia. At least to Telkom customers. Why? Because Telkom blocked Netflix.

Telkom is not just a regular telecommunications company. It has the largest customer base in Indonesia. It is also a country-society. In other words, the Indonesian government accepts most likely on any decision made Telkom. This includes the prohibition of Netflix. Decision like this does not change easily. Even Reed Hastings, Netflix CEO, could not change with his recent visit. If anything, everything is getting worse.

netflix, reed hastings, telkom, ban, vpn, asia, vpn asia, security, privacy

Reed Hastings, Netflix CEO

Telkom vs Netflix

Everybody was not expecting it. Telkom vs Netflix. Who knew it would happen? Blocking Netflix is not the best decision any company could do. In fact, no one should ever think about it. Why? Because it reduces the customer's trust. So why Telkom took? Everyone was so curious about it. The media. Telkom's competitors. Even their own customers.

The local media tried to reach Telkom about it. And guess what Telkom said the media? Netflix library contains pornographic content. In addition, the company is illegal. It has no operating license in Indonesia.

Now here's the question. Are we to believe that these reasons?

No. Just look at these reasons. They do not match the same reasons. That's why many think they are lies. The truth is still there. We believe that Telkom is still hiding it. For what reasons? So you do not know their true intention. Telkom wants to protect its commercial operations.

FYI, Telkom also runs a streaming service. They call iFlix. The service is good. But perhaps not good enough for everyone. Film buffs in particular. So when Netflix came, people turned their side. Slowly but surely iFlix began to lose its customers.

Netflix future in Indonesia

This is complicated for Netflix. So Reed Hastings decided to do something. He attended the recent Pay-TV operator Asia-Pacific summit in Bali. Reed Hastings finally responded to this situation. However, he did not come to ask the government to lift the ban. He only hoped that one day soon, Telkom would be generous enough to lift the ban. He believes that today is the age of liberty. People can choose what they want or do not want to watch. A company such as Telkom should help meet this need. A company such as Telkom should never decide what people should look. Perhaps, Telkom knows nothing about privacy and freedom.

A fine speech for the future of streaming service. Maybe that's what Reed thinks about his speech. Unfortunately, not everyone thought like him. Not every company thinks like that as Telkom.

The speech Reed was nothing but an arrogant speech.

Telkom director of client services, Dian Rachmawan says how his company deplored the statement by Reed. A person of his position should not speak arrogant and rude. Reed may not realize that he was talking in someone's house, not his. When he was still in Indonesia, it becomes subject to all the rules and regulations of that country. Make such a statement will oppose all against each other. It sure was not the best thing to do.

telkom, vpn, asia, vpn asia, security, privacy, netflix

In his new statement, Rachmawan also questioned the broadcasting company's commitment to make its content more friendly to local preferences. He believes that Netflix was lying on improving local content. They said this because they wanted to raise sympathy.

We have to wait

If things continue like this, there will be no agreement between Telkom and Netflix anytime soon. If you are a Netflix fan, maybe it's time to change your service. What if you do not want to keep your Flix.

iFlix not as great as Netflix. Neither is as good as Netflix. However, the company is sure better than Netflix in understanding how the law works in Indonesia. It may not be much, but if you are a registered IndiHome, iFlix is the only package that you can get without paying extra.

BBC takes on Netflix

BBC takes on Netflix -

The BBC may soon take the place of the Netflix streaming service. The company plans to launch its own streaming service, as reported by Telegraph.

Once launched, people in the UK would be the first to benefit from this service. Under the plan, the BBC would partner with ITV for this program. It's a pretty brave move from ITV and BBC are both rival in the commercial industry of the UK. As for the player, most likely use its own BBC iPlayer. bbc, iplayer, vpn, asia, vpn asia, netflix, streaming

Strategy for BBC Future market

As first national broadcasting company in the world, BBC surely knows how to read the market. BBC has already obtained the high quality content. With this advantage, the BBC is ready to move to the next level. The world is heading for a streaming service on demand. People choose the content they want to watch. You can not come to ask people to look at the content that you have previously prepared. We spent these days. Today is the era of subscription, the content of the application.

As the national broadcasting company, the UK government also support the BBC for this movement. A government source said that in this subscription service era, the BBC must always do their best to give their customers the best service. If it means giving subscription, the service request, the government encouraged the BBC to make such a decision.

Here is the full statement of the Government of the United Kingdom.

If they want to explore this kind of thing, we would encourage them. There may come a time in the future where all TV comes online, and if you do that it becomes a practical possibility more realistic if we wanted to go to a voluntary subscription element, which is why the BBC, which see how the world changes, said, "Yes, we'll just see for online delivery, whether or not there may be a case for the new additional content being delivered on a subscription service via the iPlayer.

A challenge for Netflix

As reported by TechCrunch, the new service would likely be called as Britflix BBC. Ring a bell? Yep, the name is similar to Netflix. Perhaps, it is designed as a challenge to Netflix. This company lost millions of its users because of a simple mistake. VPN restriction. The company could have called this effort a victory over the VPN users. But there is always a side effect of any decision. In case of Netflix, the company could have triggered piracy in some countries. That they tried to fight now appears because of their action.

bbc, netflix, piracy, privacy, security, vpn, asia, vpn asia

BBC certainly does not repeat that mistake. That's why they wait until then. Let's see how the market reacts to the Netflix decision and make a valuable input for the company. Of course, after Netflix error, nobody expects the BBC to fall into the same pit. The question is, would the BBC broadcast high-quality movies that we want?

People once joined Netflix because it has a lot of premium content. They got the original films of high class, you can not find anywhere else. The only people left because of recent Netflix is their decision on VPN users. Therefore, if the BBC wants to win this fight, they must be sure of two important things. First, they have to have premium content on their library. Second, it must be available to all subscribers. Any restrictions even for VPN users. Give all people subscribe to. You can not ask people to pay for something they think they have got, but will give nothing to them. It is piracy. No matter from which perspective you see it. It is still piracy.

Thus, the BBC, which side will you take? Netflix or your customers?

Not Getting Full Download Speed? Check your connections -

New to Usenet? This is critical pro tip to help our users get full UsenetServer Usenet download speed on their links with their ISP. Just a brief summary for users who are just starting with Usenet, first we get a UsenetServer account, download and install our NZB newsreader or downloader choice, configure our Usenet client and finally start downloading.

usenet-connection-settings

When configuring our Usenet client, we will obviously need to provide the address of the new server host to connect to and our username UsenetServer and password so that clients can actually talk to Usenet. Many users stop and start using their preferred client was immediately and if the download speed is good, no additional configuration is required.

This is not always the case, however, occasionally the default settings in our Usenet client may need a slight adjustment to ensure that we get full download speed from Usenet servers. What adjustments might we need to do to get the maximum speed of our connection to our Usenet servers? Figured it out yet? Setting the number of simultaneous connections that our Usenet client creates with our Usenet server each time it connects to is the answer. If we are not able to achieve the maximum download speed using the default number of connections (usually 4), we need to gradually increase our number of connections a connection at a time until we completely saturate the available bandwidth our Internet connection. Once our optimal number of connections has been found, we should not need to adjust them again and be able to download newsfeeds at full speed.

Product Review: A day in the Amazon Echo

Product Review: A day in the Amazon Echo -

As busy as we all are these days, having a personal assistant to inanimate voice command is sensitive, as intuitive and powerful as the computer aboard the starship Enterprise would be a welcome addition to our daily lives. So far, all voice activated assistants are mediocre at best, leaving many of us with the mechanical inconsistent user experience that feels a bit like talking robots. Even with Siri voice she tried elegance and feminine wiles forced leaves us with a feeling flat conversation to one side. When we had the opportunity to review the Amazon Echo and spend a day with Alexa virtual assistant, a new competitor in this space unique technology of its kind, we did not know too optimistic about it being any different than other, but we were pleasantly surprised that we found

Amazon Echo is Google for Your Living Room what we liked the Echo

Talking with Alexa -. the voice of the virtual assistant Amazon Echo and stylish Bluetooth Speaker Black - proved to be exchanged quite comfortable. Its touch fluid, almost human made simple dialogue seems almost natural. Listening to music via Bluetooth speaker was a breeze with multiple cloud services on custom faucet, especially Pandora, Spotify, iTunes and Amazon Music Premium. The sound quality is solid enough for a device in this class, but more on that later.

Alexa also supports a variety of functions and commands, it can respond, including adding products to your list of Amazon purchases on the fly, providing comprehensive weather reports, and the ability to control WeMo home automation devices (Internet of things devices that control interior lighting and set alarms on order). The element that surprised us the most was the precision and responsiveness of the voice recognition system to Alexa. It's incredible. The Echo receiving the microphone 360, Alexa giving the ability to hear the voice commands from virtually anywhere in the room.

Not a subscriber? Register unlimited UsenetServer for less than $ 1 a day!

What we did not like about the Echo

Although we were pleasantly surprised by our brief one-day meeting with Echo, there were a few things we did not like. First, Amazon Echo can not be purchased outright at any time. It is currently closed and available by invitation only. Most users are looking for a purchase that is more instantly gratifying, not that they can forget they wanted. Second, the speaker of the Echo was very sensitive to distortion at the approach of maximum volumes. Actually, if done well, distortion on such a new device should not be the case.

How to get the Amazon Echo

You can now request an invitation to the opportunity to buy Echo Amazon here. Otherwise, if you can not wait to get their hands on one, you can order off of Ebay for nearly retail price.

Final Impressions Echo

Overall, we have to give serious kudos Amazon to create such elegant easy to use, wizard voice. With good sound quality for music playback and a highly accurate speech recognition engine that can be used to answer simple questions, set reminders, and functions of home control, Alexa is the answer to our current reality the Star Trek science fiction computer-abilities. We classify as a must-have device, but it is a nice addition that would be welcome in the office or at home, especially where there is a need for automation devices. The Echo is exclusive enough right now to be by invitation only, but if the desire to own this gadget geek gaining more patience and the need to buy technology on the cheap, the echo can be just the ticket.

Have you had a chance to use the Amazon Echo? We'd love to hear your thoughts on this Geeky Gadgets!

Stay on private Facebook

Stay on private Facebook -

It is not easy to remain private on Facebook. Not even the fact that we control our information on Facebook can help. Do we realize that even Facebook is part of the net? Do we realize that once something even posted on the web, it will be there forever? Even if we delete this information, the Internet will always keep his file. This means anyone can access the data at any time.

stay private on facebook, facebook universal search, facebook, privacy, vpn, asia, vpn asia

In addition to the Web, Facebook has become a huge database of information data to hackers. Whenever they need to know something, they can find it on Facebook. This is the first reason why someone should remain private on Facebook. The only questions of question is this. Is it possible to remain private on Facebook?

It is impossible to remain private on Facebook

There. You read correctly. It is impossible to remain private on Facebook. See, on Facebook, you control all your information. Not even Facebook may ask you to do otherwise. This is your true key to remain private on Facebook. The only thing you should know is to apply this key. How will you do that? Simple. Never post your personal information on Facebook.

But how will I make friends without it?

Do not worry. We will not delete all information. Just a few of them. Enough to keep cyber criminals away. Enough for you to socialize and stay private on Facebook. Ready? Here they are.

Your interests

There is a myth about Facebook. You will not get a lot of Facebook without saying so, your interests. Perhaps this is true. the interests of the user allow Facebook to provide targeted services. You will have more personalized ads, games, suggested pages, and much more. It seems that everything is easier. You do not have to look for these fabrics for yourselves. Facebook has already prepared for you. It seems that Facebook understands everything about you, better than anyone. However, do you realize that none of these works without your data? Do you know that most of those suggested products from third? This means your data is not just on Facebook. These third parties may also contain your data.

See, there is a price for everything. Facebook can give you what you need. But in return, it needs your personal information. Something not everyone knows.

Therefore, here is my first board. Never share your interests. Do this if you want to remain private on Facebook.

stay private on facebook, vpn, asia, vpn asia, facebook, security, privacy

Your birthday

Facebook is not only a great social media. It is also a great place to wish a happy birthday to everyone. I bet you know. On your special day, your friends posted on your wall. All their prayers and wishes make this very special day.

Everyone loves it. That's why we put our birthday on Facebook. So our friends know our special day. However, let me remind you. Sharing your birthday is not a wise decision. It is a very personal information you should never "escape" to the public. Remember that your friends are not the only 'friends' that you got on Facebook. Let's also not forget that Facebook has enabled universal search. This means that everyone can find out who is the birthday celebration today.

birthday, facebook, stay private on Facebook, vpn, asia, vpn asia, security, privacy

Am I paranoid? Not exactly. Well, maybe. But that's because anyone can use your birthday to access your personal accounts. Your bank account, for example.

So here is my next tip. Never share your birthday. If you still want to remain private on Facebook.

Your home address

Maybe you do not tell Facebook about your home. But how about your messages? Have you ever really share on one of your posts?

There are several ways you could accidentally shared home address. To post. Comment. Event. Note. These are public areas. Anything that you share these places, everyone can see it. So here's my next tip. If you want to stay on Facebook private, never share your home address. If necessary, send private message.

work history and education

How do you get more friends on Facebook? Manually? Not so effective. What if you can find your coworkers? Or perhaps your school friends? Now, this will save a lot of time. Just type in where you work and study, Facebook will do the rest for you.

Undoubtedly, this simple fact. However, like I said, everything comes with a price. (PS. Even Netflix realizes) This time, it would be your office address. Imagine what would happen if someone knows where you work. This person can easily make you sing. Or maybe that person can hijack your desktop system and hijack your desktop. Your desktop animals, which were supposed to be secret can be disclosed online.

Would you avoid this? Stay on private Facebook. How? Never share your work and educational history.
