As I make my own travel home today, I think about how life is a journey and how strategic alliances are also a journey. (! BTW, as for those of Cisco LIVE this week, "Journey" was also "Journey" during the customer appreciation event - great party)

The Cisco-Citrix Strategic Alliance has developed tremendous momentum over the past few years, but I specifically want to highlight our recent announcements and progress.

last October after having achieved remarkable success with our desktop virtualization together, we announced a significant expansion of our Cisco Alliance mobile workstyles, cloud orchestration and networking cloud. At the time, we had great confidence in our ability to achieve the vision of this expanded collaboration. Last week, we did just that, reaching a milestone with the announcement of Citrix NetScaler 1000V - available only from Cisco. NetScaler 1000V is a new technology integrating Citrix NetScaler delivery control applications (ADC) technology into the Cisco Unified Fabric cover network services portfolio and will be available in Q3 of 2013.

While we have officially announced the NetScaler Cisco 1000V with it a week ago, we had fantastic extra coverage and interest during Cisco Live! this week. Well done and thank you to David Yen, VP and GM, Data Center Group, who shared the details of our alliance and the new Citrix NetScaler technology 1000V as part of its updated open on the Data Center Strategy Cisco.

on the Citrix booth, interest in the NetScaler 1000V was very strong, including customers, while requesting additional details partners and analysts. Most were impressed with the level of cooperation that we have done and wanted more information to take with them. Many conversations broadened the discussion on other areas of our cooperation.

also highlighted the Cisco Live this week were most other areas of our growing alliance, including BYOD solutions, innovations Desktop Virtualization and Cloud Services Including CloudPlatform on UCS.

A big thank you to John Chambers, Blair Christie and Rick Snyder to come see for Citrix this week on the show floor. I enjoyed the discussion and personal business, and I am very grateful for our collaboration.

My travel trips are made for a little while now (summer is here!) ... But here at Citrix, we're certainly not bringing this great alliance to market with major innovations! I can still hear Journey last night ... "Do not stop believing ..."

So ... what do you want to see next to Cisco and Citrix?
