New v3 Model AWS CloudFormation for XenApp now available also in the Sydney area with the support of NetScaler and StoreFront -

Since Paul Wilson and I first introduced a model CloudFormation in the blog "Restart your XenDesktop Farm in AWS with CloudFormation model," we have added support for several regions and availability zones in a v2 version of this model CloudFormation in the blog "announcing the multi-Region AWS model CloudFormation for XenDesktop ".

Today we are announcing the third version of our model AWS CloudFormation adding the new region and support for Asia Pacific Sydney StoreFront NetScaler and Access Gateway Enterprise. This version uses the NetScaler VPX instances available via AWS Marketplace, and replaces the StoreFront Web interface to be able to support all the advanced features our latest Citrix Receiver.

Version 3 of JSON CloudFormation template can be downloaded from here.

The use of this new model in just a few hours you have built a XenApp farm in your selected area in the AWS cloud using Netscaler and technology StoreFront. You can use the farm for a number of objectives, including:

• Test Proof- of-Concept XenApp performance in the cloud
• Learning to manage AWS resources
