Welcome to the Linux Virtual Desktop Team blog. As the title suggests, we are the team that Desktop works on the new Linux Virtual or as it is generally known that Linux VDA.
currently consists of Linux VDA team of engineers from the Citrix Labs team in Sydney, Australia. You may know us from some of our previous work:

- SpeedScreen latency reduction
- Secure Gateway (v1.0, v1.1, v1.2 and v2.0)
- Smart Auditor
- environments Application isolation
- Portica (the forerunner of what is today XenDesktop).

- the original BlackBerry PlayBook / BB10 Rx.
we have since the beginning of 2014 since on the Linux VDA work, we have 2 private beta, a tech preview and a version had 1.0 release. We wrote the initial installation instructions for the Tech Preview and v1.0.
We have to do in this project a lot of heavy lifting, but we are not doing it alone. We have some SMEs from other teams, with different parts of the XenDesktop product (eg graphics codecs, FMA, etc.) to help us.
This blog is intended to be a way for our team to share setup / configuration tips, technical information, troubleshooting tips, and other gems Linux VDA.
We are currently working on our next version and could have a part of this work here.
