Usenet Refresher :? What is an NZB -

Developed by NewsBin, an NZB is an XML file format that contains a complete list of message ID for binary content you want to transfer on Usenet. In other words, an NZB file serves as a table of contents of newsfeeds to download for your NZB client or news reader.

Because each binary file is divided into compressed files smaller (usually RAR format) and parity PAR files to repair the missing parts after downloading, these small pieces are spread over many Usenet messages or articles to make it possible to store the entire file on Usenet. An NZB points all parts that make up the file you want, which makes it the easiest and fastest way to download binary content from Usenet.
