E-cigarettes are big business, as many manufacturers all set to compete against each other to help people reduce smoking. But with so many companies vying for the competition, there is inevitably some not so honest businesses. Some of these e-cigarettes found to contain malware to infect your computers.

So when you go to charge the device via the USB port of your computer, the malware is transferred and given access to your machine. Malware can infect your computer, access data and personal information and the installation of unwanted software. But this is not the first time a device that comes with the installed malware. Previously, digital photo frames have been guilty of infecting computers of unsuspecting customers when they are purchased from unreliable suppliers. Many goods imported from unknown companies that sell much lower than the usual selling price are those that are most suspect.

One way to avoid these scams is to ensure that you are buying reliable sellers of goods, respectable companies can be researched in depth and confidence. Try not to buy online overseas, especially China, as almost all malware affected elements seem to come from there. Always keep an anti-malware software up to date and remain vigilant. Any device that can charge via USB is also likely to contain malware can infect machines. So do not always go for the cheapest option available online, make sure you can trust the company selling the first products.
