Operating System tuning and tweaking -

The Linux VDA changes several system parameters to ensure that the best experience for the user is available. These parameters are not permanent and will be reset when the system is restarted.

may have on some Linux distributions, the dbus-daemon of the system is not out of file descriptors. If it is then the desktop environment are not enough, as Gnome or KDE, will not work correctly. The Linux VDA has a minimum open file descriptor limit of 3072. When the dbus-daemon has a file descriptor limit that is greater than 3072, then nothing is changed.

Some Linux distributions have the amount of shared memory is set too low available system. If so, then the value of the kernel is 'kernel.shmmax' increases set to a sufficiently large value.

In the future there will be other system parameters, we change. We will definitely put this information available.
