Steps to Create, then import APNS certificate in XMS Server -

In this blog we will go through the steps for creating and importing the APNS (Apple Push Notification Service) certificate in XMS server.

requirements

• Credentials for the Apple Push Certificates Portal https://identity.apple.com/pushcert
• NetScaler and XMS Application Details

Create NetScaler certificate request.

1. Login to NetScaler and select SSL under Traffic Management on the left side. Click Create RSA Key on the right side, as shown below.

9. Select the CSR you created and click Download to save it to a local folder on your computer.

To the CSR to Citrix submit for signing

1. Log in to the XMS server and click the Support icon as shown below.

2. Click. On APNs Signing Utility

3. You will be redirected to https://xenmobiletools.citrix.com. Click APNS Certificate.

Click Upload the CSR.

4. Locate the CSR file we downloaded in step 9 of the creation of CSR section above.

5. Click Login.

6. finish off a message.

7 to see. A file (with .plist extension) will be downloaded automatically, as shown below.

1. Click Apple Push Certificates Portal link below shown.

2. Log in. In the portal

3. Click Create Certificate.

4. Accept the Terms of Use.

5. Click Select File.

6. Select the .plist file we downloaded in step 7 of the Send the CSR to Citrix for section above sign.

7. Click Upload.

8. Download the APNS certificate that is in .PEM format.

9. Log on to NetScaler

Under traffic management. -> SSL and click Certificates / keys / CSRs on the right to manage

11. Select the APNS certificate PEM file we downloaded in step 8 and click Open.

12. Click Close.

To a PFX APNS create certificate by nsroot with OpenSSL

1. Sign the NetScaler Command Line as a user and type shell to get into the cup.

2. Enter the command as follows

here is the private key and the PEM files are in / nsconfig / ssl directory. The output file with the .pfx extension will be located in the same directory.

3. We have created for APNS in creating certificate request on NetScaler section the password for the private key.

4. Enter the PFX Export password.

5. Repeat Export password. Make sure that you have forgotten this password, as we are using it in our next section, while importing the APNS certificate in XMS server.

6. Under Traffic Management -> SSL and click Manage Certificates / Keys / CSRs on the right side

7 .. Select the PFX file and click download

Importing APNS certificate in XMS server.

1. Login to XMS server and click Settings Configure.

2. Click Certificates

3. Click Import

4. Select the APNs for use as field select key store for import fields and key store type as PKCS # 12

5. Click Browse, we look to the APNS pfx file in step 7 of the Create PFX APNS certificate region downloaded.

6. Select the file

7. Enter the PFX password

8. Click import

9. Click OK

10. We can see the APNS certificate which, as shown below will be imported.
