Benchmarking GPU with LoginVSI - great for comparing VMware vs. Citrix XenDesktop -

Last week I blogged about a webinar must see from CAD and remote expert XenDesktop, Thomas Popplegaard made with CTP with fellow Trond Eirik Håvarstein of XenAppBlog.com. Thomas posted a recording then someone who missed it can catch up.

The surprise was special guest ....

... Jeroen Van De Kamp CTP and CTO LoginVSI, which revealed a special piece of industry news ... .

"LoginVSI new upcoming version supports comparative GPU"

... LoginVSI working on the next version compatible reference, capacity planning, the GPU stress tests "missing component in virtualization." If you are interested, you can write to access the beta version of LoginVSI ... if you want more information about the next version of LoginVSI that supports GPU, write to info@loginvsi.com~~V GFX subject. "

both NVIDIA and Citrix have invested a lot of results in the hardening of these technologies and automation of our test systems to be able to run 24-7, but it is very probable that the new product LoginVSI provide end users the ability to evaluate their own systems more. Many of us in the team on the Citrix-NVIDIA GRID features vGPU (available for XenDesktop with HDX 3D Pro on XenServer) were blogging experiences benchmarking GPU technology and we can not wait to add our experiences with this new product to our blogs and recent articles which include:

  • Automate software GPU to calibration using Powershell
  • Configuration vGPU using Powershell
  • Turbo mode configuration for CAD applications
  • Reflections on the design of reference GPU evaluations
  • strange artifacts to watch from the Unigine benchmarks

for the full story on LoginVSI and GPU is available here, with the recording of the webinar.
