It's certainly our aim at learning labs at Citrix Summit in Orlando from January 12, 2014. Summit with instructor laboratories to light many technical aspects of NetScaler and other Citrix products for our learning partners.
Maybe you know that NetScaler can balance traffic, protect your applications with Application Firewall, perform rewrites on your web traffic or send personalized responses based on the criteria of your choice? How about acting as a Layer 3 forwarding; receive network routes from a router or even advertising routes to a router? There are many network features illustrating that NetScaler is not only a load balancer, but a real power network
This is where the learning lab Citrix Summit "SUM604: Advanced networking and traffic management using NetScaler 10.x '. Comes in. In this blog, I'll give you a better idea of what the laboratory is about! I am very busy in recent weeks many cooking until the lab topology, building exercises and lab guide. I'd love to say its easy work, but it is incredibly rewarding and enjoyable - I need more hours each day
So what we have in this laboratory? For those who love lists:
- A NetScaler HA pair
- Five routers
- Six or more systems (and counting)
- Three web Apache
- Finally, a Windows 7 workstation
Some of the exercises include:
- Policy Based Routing
- Inbound NAT
- Link Load Balancing
- Dynamic Routing
- network profiles
- HTTP Header insertion
- Apache logs
This is just a taste. The goal is maximum lab time for fiscal years
For those already signed or thinking to register for the session, here are the conditions :.
- Intermediate knowledge of NetScaler
- knowledge of network routing protocols and concepts, such as OSPF routing - If you have Network + or CCNA, you are more than covered
- familiarity with Apache httpd Web server and HTTP
- knowledge of Linux commands - for bonus points vi editor
